Successful website design is not only visually interesting but has well-organized content. Our role as the designer is to employ various tools of hierarchy to create a “path” for the viewer to follow, making sure they receive information in a logical order with an emphasis on what you’ve deemed most important.
When Otherwisz Creative designs a logo and brand identity for a client, a lot of time and thought goes into the project. We take the time to research the company’s background, products and services, brand positioning (where they fit in the marketplace) and competition. Our design team gathers all this data and uses it to explore concepts for a logo design and accompanying visual brand elements (fonts, colors, photo styles, etc).
The OtherWisz team put their heads together to come up with some awesome e-vites this year for our annual holiday party. Each designer came up with their own concept and then turned it into an animated GIF to create a festive invitation. The OtherWisz Creative design team has been working overtime towards a Friday, February 2014 opening of a new exhibit of Buffalo Sabres’ hockey memorabilia.
This year, OtherWisz Creative has donated design and marketing services to two non-profits, helping to assist them in attracting attention to their yearly fundraisers. Both of these projects gave us a chance to put our marketing chops to work, have fun creatively and, hopefully, make a difference!

The Girl Scouts of Western New York announced “Women of Distinction,” a girl-led event, that will be held at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens in Cheektowaga, NY on Thursday, September 20, 2012.
Our (2011) OtherWisz Creative website was recognized at the Buffalo, NY 2012 ADDYs award ceremony on Friday, April 16, 2012. The OW website, which was launched in October of last year, took home a Silver Award in the Advertising Industry Self-Promotion: Interactive category. The annual ADDY Awards competition recognizes exceptional advertising created by Western New York companies.
Score! Buffalo Hockey Experience + Museum Logo Published in LogoLounge Book Alongside Some of The World’s Best-Known Brands
They shoot, they score! We are pleased to announce that the logo OtherWisz Creative designed during the branding of the Buffalo Hockey Experience + Museum (BHE+M) was published in a new book released February 2012: LogoLounge Master Library, Volume 4. The new book, published by Rockport, is part of a seven-volume series written and curated by Catharine Fishel and Bill Gardner which includes the outstanding type and calligraphy logos chosen from designers all over the world.
