The Aurora Theater’s marquee is the heart of their brand

To accompany the launch of their new website, the Aurora Theatre decided to update their visual brand as well. Since the theater is one of the most recognizable parts of the town, OtherWisz pulled inspiration from its iconic marquee. It’s impossible to miss the glowing neon lights of the historic theater as you drive down Main Street in East Aurora. The logo uses vintage-style typefaces framed by a representation of this soft neon glow to emphasize the nostalgic qualities of the Aurora Theater’s character.

Increasing brand awareness for the theater’s specialty popcorn shop

OtherWisz brought the magic of the movies to the Aurora Theatre’s newest venture: gourmet popcorn. Extending the historic theatre’s neon typeface to the Popcorn Shop logo visually links the two brands, reinforcing its connection as an offshoot product brand. Golden popcorn kernels spring off of the tagline – “Popping corn since 1925” – to give this visual identity an old-fashioned appeal that is still sophisticated and fun.
